Upon reaching our facility the piece goes through a gentle but thorough process to ensure its complete revival. After inspecting the rug to determine the best cleaning methods we perform a pre-vacuuming to remove surface dirt and a dry soil removal to pick up all the rest. Next is a pre-conditioning, followed by a shampooing for a penetrating cleansing. A grooming process is necessary to loosen up the oils trapped in the weaving, so the piece must soak and dry for a significant period of time to ensure correct emulsification and removal. Finally, a post grooming, to give life back to the rug and a final inspection to make absolutely certain that the rug is in the best condition it can be in.
